Occasionally I get the comment that people don't like to sew with minky, but this kit was designed for it and trust me, it's so much easier to use the minky backing. The size is perfect for a 48 inch cut of minky fabric. Center the quilt top, quilt it, and then you can wrap the back of the minky fabric around to the front to use as the binding. Part of what makes this quilt so fast and fun is how the backing works. We use a very low stretch, silky smooth minky. The pattern includes all the information and access to video tutorials to teach you how to make it. It's going to be fun! 

Spring Creek Lane, the country road that was the closest named road to my childhood home, had the loveliest spring you could imagine. Meadowlarks perched on sagebrush  that grew next to wild yellow and purple lupines. The sunlight in the morning pierced the air and the nights were quiet and cool. Storms were few and far between but when they came water spilled over the ground and formed, you guessed it, the Spring Creek. We loved plopping stones down and building ourselves footpaths to get across. The fabrics in this quilt bring me right back to my childhood and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
